PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Foundation provided a grant of $25,000 to the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, to support the research work of Dr Jennifer Wilcox and research associate, Hélène Pilorgé. Their work, and our collaboration, focuses on key CCUS research and projects, including supporting CO2RE research, and the design and development of the Global Carbon Management Academy.
Our collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania reflects a shared commitment to scientific research and inquiry. It allows us to build the field in critical areas of carbon management research, through academic collaboration.

Project Leads
Anhar is a carbon management policy and regulatory expert with over 25 years of experience working in the public sector to develop innovative solutions to complex global environmental problems. Her leadership experience and expertise spans the design and implementation of environmental policies, laws, and regulations, research programs, international agreements, and public-private partnerships.
Vanshika is the Foundation’s primary Research Specialist, focusing on the strategic development of the Foundation, identification of and engagement with global partners, and implementation of Foundation projects and grants.
Vanshika holds an MA in Climate and Society from Columbia University, and a first-class BA in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford.
Nimra was Foundation’s Summer Associate for 2025, and supported the development of project finance for carbon management in countries party to the Carbon Management Challenge. She previously worked in public finance management, climate resilience & climate finance for a sub-national government in Pakistan.
Nimra is currently a candidate for the Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) program at Harvard University and holds a BSc. in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
